Hello again. Today we are going to have a look at a cool new network testing product from Ideal Industries – the Ideal R156002 SignalTEK CT Data Cable Transmission Ethernet Tester. This is basically a pared down cable certifier to meet the demand for a high tech cable wiremapping and performance tester but cut the cost of a full fledged certifier.

The Ideal R158003 VDV Pro Cable Verifier is the latest and greatest in copper testing from Ideal Industries. The meter can handle Coax, 6pin, or 8pin connectors and has a large easy to read display. As expected, the R158003 VDV Tester can handle all the wire mapping needs for finding miswires, split pairs, shorts, or opens.

Finding the right Cable Certifier can be quite time intensive. There are many options out there and it can get confusing. Today I will be talking about the Ideal Industries 33-993 LanTEK II series Cable Certifier. This particular model is the 1 GHz bandwidth version which is the top end of their offerings (the other models being 350 and 500 MHz respectively). The LanTEK II series of Cable Certifiers have a few neat features that differentiate itself from the pack.
