Getting the most out of each piece of testing equipment is becoming the industry norm. Gone are the days of single use testing equipment. The Byte Brothers CPK1000IL CAT5/6 Cable Certifier is a kit that includes two fantastic multifunction meters.

The first product in the kit is the Byte Brothers RWC1000K Real World Certifier. This everyday meter can handle basic wiring jobs such as identifying split pairs, miswires, cable length, and distance to open/shorts. It can also give you an accurate speed rating by sending a digital signal down the cable. The RWC1000K can save up to 250 tests allowing for later report printing.

The second product in the kit is the Byte Brothers POE1000IL Power Panel. The power panel is a great tool if you are involved with PoE (Power over Ethernet) devices. With the POE1000IL you can connect to a device and find the volts, power draw in watts, as well as if there are any problems with the wire setup. The POE1000IL can also blink a port so you can see where on the hub it is plugged in.
