Hello everyone. Today’s post is going to looking at an exciting and innovative new device from Yellow Jacket – the 67001 ManTooth Wireless Temperature and Pressure Gauge. This is a device that will save you time, energy and money in the field and makes full use of the great technology that is available from today’s mobile devices.
So what is this thing and why do you want it? The Yellow Jacket 67001 ManTooth allows you to leave your manifold and hoses in the truck and get all your important readings right from the HVAC system you are working on. Simply attach the valve on the ManTooth to the system and use the tethered pipe clamp attachment to hook on to the adjacent piping.
The device then uses Bluetooth technology to stream the necessary results right to your mobile device using the ManTooth app. These results include: actual pressures, temperatures, superheat and subcooling. You can also easily adjust refrigerant charge using the built-in Schrader valve if necessary.
The results that are streamed to your mobile device are displayed in an intuitive and easy-to-read format that is organized by customer, equipment used/worked on, and all of the readings are time-stamped. Also these stored readings can be emailed to your office right from the job site using your device. This allows office-to-technician coordination and documentation like never before.
The Yellow Jacket 67001 Pressure Gauge comes with a single pressure temperature unit in a boot and the attached pipe clamp. There is also a 2 unit option for reading dual pressures – the 67002. With all the new technology at your fingertips in these units you can even monitor your results from inside your air conditioned truck! This is excellent for working in hotter climes.
